    according to the vcdhelp bitrate calculator, i should be setting my maximum bitrate to 9000 but TMPGenc only goes up to 8000. am i doing something wrong?
    Laserdiscs are cool, but laserdiscs on DVD-Rs are cooler.

    You must be, I can set 9000 with no problem. DVD max bitrate is 9800 but mpeg-2 max bitrate is 15000.

    Laserdiscs are cool, but laserdiscs on DVD-Rs are cooler.

  5. If you use the DVD templates, you will be limited to 8000 max.
    Just load the "unlock" template and you can set it past 8000.

    But of course you can't use the wizard!
