  1. i am trying to capture pics for my menus using vcdeasy under the chapters tab, for svcd files and it will play then and allow me to move around the movie but when i press the capture button i get

unable to capture the picture with the current media player codec...

what do i need ? to add? i have been useing power dvd to capture stills and then tempeg to convert to mpg for my menus but its a slow process that way was hopeing i could use this.

i have also tryed the tscv menu but never got that one to work properly to it just a pain in the ass to capture with power dvd, then make the picture with paint and mgi suite, and then tempeg with audio just to get a menu.
i would be great full for any help or direction....

  2. hmm. I'm kinda doing the same for a complete series I'm putting onto VCD.
If it's downloaded video, there's no problem. Just play the movie clip on full screen and hit the "print screen" button.
if it's from DVD, I don't really know how to take a screenshot. Guess you'll need somekind of program.

Then open your image proggy. Paint sucks, it'll do yoou no good.
I used MGI photosuite2 a couple of years ago, but it wasn't that great

I use Paint Shop Pro, but it's kinda complicated at first.

anyway, after you pressed the print screen button, go to you program and select paste as new image, normally to be found under "edit"

  3. thanks for the reply. i emailed the autor and he said its a licencing issue and there will be no svcd capture in his program because of this.

i to use paint and mgi and then tmpg to encode to mpg for menus with pic and audio. but like you said its a pain in the ass and a long proccess to do it that way.
i guess i just have to keep doing it that way until something else comes along.
