how to tell if a pic is photoshopped?

this might seem like a silly question, but is there any way to be 100% sure if a pic is faked or not?

i'm sure most of you have heard of the mtv show "jersey shore", there's a pic of "sammi sweetheart" floating around that shows her naked, in a doggy style position, leaving absolutely nothing to the imagination.

now i've seen ton of photoshopped celebrity pics that are obvious fakes but this one is pretty well done, try as i might i can't find any tale tell continuity discrepancies, if this is faked, then it's a damn good fake.

so, does anyone have any ideas, any analysis tools, obviously i can't post the pic on this forum.

just the usual, blurring around the join - head neck shoulders hair - wherever it was done. other give aways - shadows that don't match up or are missing, skin tones that don't match, unnatural body alignment, etc. i usually get a "it just doesn't look right" feeling for almost all of them.

missed that pic, maybe i'll have to find it and check it closely

sammi is a chick, if i saw a pic of a dude naked in doggy style position i think i would have to wash out my eyes with bleach, LOL.

the sammi pics are fakes. just look at #2 of the series. pink line around the face and butchered the left eye, and cheek lines.

you're right, i guess i was a bit distracted by the other set of cheeks and didn't look closely enough.

Convert the image to .GIF format. With the reduced color depth (8 bits), you will start to see where the original colors differred enough (and couldn't be properly "mapped" to the reduced pallet) to actually show where the photo was 'shopped.
