Can Premiere 6.5 recognize *Text Effects* created with Photoshop
I am creating a motion DVD menu with Premiere and Photoshop but am not getting Premiere to recognize my text effects such as Drop shadows, Bevel and Emboss, and Gradient Overlay. The Photoshop layers load fine in Premiere except I am only seeing the original text color with no effects.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You are right. I have the same problems.
I've found a way to do it with drop shadow. Create a new file with empty background. Type your text. Do a copy of the text layer and change the text color of the lower one for black or dark gray. Put a gaussian blur on it. Choose the transparency of this layer. merge those two layers and save your file. Open it in Premiere and it will be OK.
I guess that you won't have to do all this with third party effects like Phototools from Extensis.
