I fixed my DRU500AX and Kpermedia and Memorex please read

For some reason under windows 2000 and the DRU500AX you can not burn Khpermedia or Memorex DVD-R. I test it with service pack 3. With windows 2000 I can only burn certiied media. I format the drive and install windows XP. Kpermedia now work fine and Memorex. If you are having problem's with the DRU500AX install windows XP and have it set to master. DRU500AX does not work that well under windows 2000. I got a little halp at

To fix DRU500AX to burn Khpermedia you have to update to
NERO 5.5.10.15a any older nero's will have problem with windows 2000 burning khpermedia or Memorex. With Windows XP nero 55107 work's fine also but not on windows 2000 only. NERO 5.5.10.15a will work good with windows 2000

Have burned about 8 Memorex DVD-R { Retailed box of 10 } without problems with f1.0g + Nero 5.5.10.7b on Windows 98SE. But under W2k any thing is possible.

Khpermedia can only be burned at 2X with windows 2000. XP When I had it install burned fine at 1X. You must use the newest version of Nero with the DRU500AX

This is the last update I thought I fixed the DRU500AX problem. But it seem's some time's I can burn Khpermedia and Memorex DVD-R. If you have the DRU500AX the newest version NERO is the best in windows 2000. XP 55107 work's as good as the newest version. This drive also work's best when set to master. Also this drive for testing seem's to work fine with USB or firewire. I'm bring this drive back I gave it one last chance. If you want to burn DVD-R Pioneer or Cendyne. If you want to burn DVD+R I would stick with HP. I have a Pioneer AO4 and it can burn hkpermedia and Memorex ever time with out any problem's
