I have read a few posts that say RecordNow Max is great for creating a DVD from the Sony DRU500 A, to play on many different DVD players. I have tried the HowTo guide for Nero and DVDWS, with 50% success.

Seeing the great comments on Record Now (for comatibility for multiple players), I decided to download the trial version. But, the manual doesn't say anything about UDV 1.02, 1.05, burning DVDs, or much at all for help.

I am familiar with the concept for Nero per the help guides (Select UDF DVD, Copy directories over, select 1.02), but I don't see anything on this for this program.

Do I just "make a data disk" and copy the 2 directories to teh DVD?

    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks
    Roger

YES ditto, as stated above. 50% success with NERO that is about par.

It is all cut and dry, assuming you have a folder VIDEO_TS with DVD compliant files and an empty AUDIO_TS folder choose your recorder and a data project add files and hit the BIG RED button.
An ISO file is done via Image selection choose ISO or ALL FILES and same as above. No need for a 5000 page manual.

  4. Can RecordNow Max be used to create SVCD's too? Looking at their software package it would appear so. Does anyone use RecordNow Max for discs other than DVD's? I'm currently looking for an alternative to Nero that doesn't involved disc images!
