    Papas,
Is WinXP already installed? Windows doesn't like to install older OS after new OS, Win 98 after Win XP. If you want to dual boot, Win 98 has to be installed first. Do you have more than one partition? XP has to be on its own partition. If you have a second partition, you can move everything to the second partition, format c:\, install 98, then install XP on second partition. Make sure you tell it to let you choose where to install. Will set up as dual boot, and you choose default at startup.

Yes i do have second partition, but the problem it's not the partition ,it's the high rom memory (1.0 Gig).
The big problem is ,i can't remove memory ,and install the win98 and then reinstall the memory.I was thinging if i can find some software to help me install it, that will be great.Or if anything else i can do to solve this problem.
Can any one please help me ??? i will like to install win98 for one reason ,only to run some some older prog.
    Thank you very much

Can't you run these older programs under XP. You can try XP's compatibility mode. All you have to do under XP is find the programes executable file (.exe) and right click it. Select properties from the menu. Select the compatibility tab, click the check box lablled 'run this program in compatibility mode' and select windows 98 from the drop down list. You never know, it might just work!

    Papas,
I went to Microsoft to check and Win 98 will work with 1 Gig, but not more.
This link, http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;304943 ,or this one, http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;184447 ,
gives instructions for workaround with more than 1 Gig. You should be able to install.
