When I use a menu template and then drag-and-drop a video clip onto one of the buttons to "link" the video to the menu button, the 1st frame from the clip is automatically used as the picture for the button. Is there any way to replace this image with a frame from the clip other than the 1st frame? Many of my clips have empty 1st frames and I have not been able to figure out how to replace this default frame.

    Thanks...Scott

  2. You could try just grabbing a screenshot of your movie and then using that as a button and just linking directly the scene. A bit of a pain I know, but DVD Workshop is missing many many features.

  3. (From memory)

In EDIT mode, you can use the slider on the player to find a frame of the movie (media) that you want to capture as a frame grab.

There is/should be a button to the left of the preview screen that says something to the effect of saving the frame as file or screenshot.

Then.. when authoring your menu, you can select that "screen grabbed" frame (from the lower left attribute explorer) as a button and then drag your video attribute into it the button to link. You can also add FRAMING and SHADOWING to you newly created button.

    Hope this helps.
