I have tried to connect my PC to my TV using an S-video to SCART lead, so that I can use it to watch DVDs (I don't have a DVD player), but I can only get a black & white picture. This isn't confined to the DVD player, the desktop shows b&w as well when I select dual output. I have a Toshiba Satellite 3000-X11 laptop. Can anyone help, in jargon-free language?

  2. Well, it mightTV is be so that your not capable of handling the S-Video format, so you need a little thing that changes the S-Video to RCA(In the cables. You can get these little things for a couple of bucks in the most Tv & Video shopps. If you dont want to waste money, Download Tv-Tool and change the format to Composite from there. This way you should get good picture too.
