I would like to get an opinion on what people think about setting the extras setting to minimum to try to get the best movie picture quality. Are the extras quality deteriorated to the point where it is viewable but worse than VCR quality? Do people usually set at 30% (ie, min)? Is there some threshold where quality is compromised? And concerning the main movie setting...what levels should we shoot for to get great quality (ie, 45%, 50%, 60%, 80%?). I understand lot of this is subjective but I am sure there are opinions.
Also, do people think there are benefit to stripping out extras to gain a little bit of main movie quality? I would like to have extras but if it affects the main movie quality to the point where it might be noticeable, I might think about stripping them out.
Finally, where can we go to find out what all of the audio settings are that I see as selections (like ac3, ac5, etc)...Sorry if this is covered somewhere but I have not been able to find anything detailing the different options.
I am currently testing InstantCopy on "Little Women" and the default setting for all of the items were at roughly 43%. By minimizing all of the extras to 30%, I was able to get the main movie setting up to 55% but I am afraid that the quality will not be there. Thanks for all your help!
