Reformatting DRD-RW

I have buy a TDK DVD-RW and used near 20 times, but the last time he start to show some problem.
At the end of playing he stoped and the images starting to fault.
Someone tell me that the XP command for deleting DVD is not a good thing, but i must reformat the DVD. I try with nero but it take only a minute for do so I think is not the right way,
Some one can help me?

Hi,

By default nero uses "Quick Erase rewritable" for RW discs. To completly erase it just select "Full erase rewritable media" from full downmenu.
