Hi I’m just starting to make my own VCD, I have the moviestar5.2 ,a LG-CD-RW CED8080B burner, a pioneer dv-c503, also I have the ati tv wonder ve card. The problem I am having is when I down load a video, ( no matter what format I use) I play the file back in moviestar the picture is distorted ( it won’t skip it plays fine ) The ati file player only supports vcd & mpeg1 files.I also have the roxio easy cd cerator5.0 the only files that will play is vcd , and the picture is still distorted. I have down loaded video clips on line (from kazaa) played them (and burned them with the roixo , and they worked great ( I have’nt tried them in moviestar but my guess would be that they would work).I also tried playing them in windows media player and the mpeg2 files play great!! But in “letterbox form”. The other problem I have is when I burn the mpeg2s ( encoded into vcd format ) I play them on the dvd ,the picture only fills part of the tv screen, and it is worse than the video! That it came from!!. I talked to the tech support for ATI & moviestar, easy cd creator, I have downloaded all of the updates they recommended, and they said if I still have any trouble to give the vcdhelp forum a try. TIA
