  1. yeah, ANYONES who can help me with the bitrate:
i calculate it with every batrate calc i have to make a vcd and crap it always gives the wrong information, always! for example i was trying to burn the movie "Just Cause" in 1 cd-r of 80 minutes(expanded to 810mb like it always does) in vcd mode, so i went to bitrate cal and it said 860 kb/s so the movie would give 800 mb, and when i encoded it with tmpge the final result was 1 gb, help please. and also in sefy's newbie guide the tmpge wizard in the final part of it there was a little box saying "auto setting" and in my program it doesn't appear????????

The VCD specification has a "fixed" constant bitrate of 1150kbits/sec. TMPGenc must be defaulting to that. That is how it comes up to a 1gig file. What you want to make is an XVCD. Did you use the unlock template and then manually set the video bitrate in TMPGenc?

Remember to select vcd(non-standard) under settings->advanced in tmpgenc. And try use tmpgenc 2.58 or older cause the latest tmpgenc 2.59 seems to have a bug so it always becomes same vcd size for xvcds.

  4. thanks, but how do i enable that option that sefy has in his guide.
i allready downloaded the 2.58 version of tmpgenc and it doesn't appear. what i want is how to enable it to change the bitrate directly form the wizard so i can calculate the file size directly????

  5. Which option are you trying to enable exactly ? and get 2.510 which is latest
version of TMPGEnc, and either use an unlocked VCD Template, or click next
to the bitrate, and you should have the ability to "unlock" that segment.

If you can't, go to Expert Settings, then to the Video Section, and click on the
word Bitrate, and you should have the Lock/Unlock, click on Unlock, press Ok
and then you should be able to change the Bitrate easily.
