What am I doing wrong? When I goto make disk it says required disk space is 4.3GB and that the Disk space is 4.4GB then it processes the file and everything and then it says there is not enough disk space, and to put a new DVD in the drive, so I do and then it says that the disk is not a DVD-R/RW and closes back to the finish screen.

Is this the best program for putting movies on DVD's or should I get something else?

What gets me is that the original file size is 1 gig, and I am using MPEG audio so why does the file size jump so much?

DVD WS is one of the best authoring apps, IMO. Have you checked to make sure your destination folder has enough space? That might be an issue even if you're writing straight to disk. Also try writing a DVD WS image and then burning that usings the separate burn utility that comes with the program.
