I read the article on this web site reguarding VCD to DVD conversion but I'm having some problems. I converted the dat file to mpg using vcdgear. I demultiplexed the video and audio using tmpgenc version 2.510.49.157. Here's the problem. When I try to convert the audio to 48khz I select the mp2 file that was created during the demux, click on Setting, but everything is grayed out other then Stereo and the De-emphasis flag. The sampling frequence is greyed out at 48hz but I can't change the greyed out bit rate from 384 to 224. What's the deal ?

  2. You have to unlock "non-standard features" ... as 48,000 kHz is non standard for a Mpeg1 VCD.

Click on the load button in Tmpgenc's main window.

    Open ...path_to_tmpgenc/template/extra/unlock.mcf
