img.nrg with nero burner ?

I have used tmpgenc to encode a avi to mpg. Now I am using nero 5.5 to burn the vcd, the problem is that it will only let me create a img.nrg file, instead of bruning it to disk as a vcd. I am using only a dvd player with cd writer. Is there something special I need to do when burning this to a vcd?. This isn't my normal system, this is on my laptop instead of my desktop. I have divx bundle installed with nero 5.5, and tmpgenc enocoder. this is all I use on my desktop to create a vcd and it works fine, but I can' tburn a vcd with my laptop. I do emphazie that I only have a cd burner on this set up and not a dvd burner. Will it still work?

You have to choose the CDRW drive as the writer, it sounds like you have the image writer choose instead.
