  1. Hi, it's me again.
I was initially interested in purchasing either Pinnacle Studio 8 or Ulead Video Studio 7 as a video editing & authoring tool.

However, my manager is willing to spring for an upgrade to our current version of Adobe Premiere 5.0 (to v6.5).

Has anyone used the DVD authoring on AP6.5?

Is it easy, fast, and reliable? Is it as good/flexible as the authoring on PS8 or the software from Ulead?

    Curious...

    Thank you!

I haven't used the authoring in premiere.

If you buy Video Studio, make sure you buy the AC3 version so u can use dolby digital sound.

I've found Pinncale is a bit newbie.

Premiere 6.5 does not author to DVD. It comes with another, seperate program for that purpose (DVDit, I think).

  4. I use AP 6.5, but it doesn't author dvd's. It only creates assets for authoring dvd's. The software for authoring that came bundled sucks (from what I've heard; I've never tried to use it). I use AP6.5 to author assets, then DVD Maestro to author my disc.

I've been getting some awesome results!!

    Hope this helps.
