I'm trying to burn a VCD and have the .img files created by MMT with a .toc file. I try to burn a cd following the directions, terminal opens and starts the burn process. However, before the actual burn starts, the terminal says
Starting write resid: 68
at speed 4...
Pausing 10 seconds - hit CTRL-C to abort.
Process can be aborted with QUIT signal (usually CTRL-\).
WARNING: No super user permission to setup real time scheduling.
resid: 104
Turning BURN-Proof on
Executing power calibration...
Power calibration successful.
ERROR: Drive does not accept any cue sheet variant - please report.
ERROR: Writing failed.
Anyone know what's going on? I have a DVR-104 that comes with the MDD (DP 867).
Thanks for help.

This is a known issue.
Cdrdao writes as disk-at-once (dao), however it seems the 103 & 104 drives do not support dao.
I have added cdrecord to the latest version of MMB. Cdrecord uses track-at-once (tao). Could someone please try a show info and/or a simulated burn in cdrecord mode, to see if the superdrive (103/104) is supported.
Please report you findings. Thanks Ross -
Yea, I'll try when I get home - I'm on my lunch break, and don't have time to try a simulated burn.

Okay, this is what I got from cdrecord...

Doesn't look like it's supported... -
./cdrecord: No disk / Wrong disk!
I get the same error WITH a supported drive, without a disk in place.
Was there a blank cd in the drive when you did this test? -
Oops!
My bad.
Okay, this is what I get with a blank CD in the drive...

Am I using a wrong kind of .iso? I'm using an image created by MMT because the "generate ISO from data folder" in MMB doesn't seem to work for me. I believe it's because I don't have a program called "mkisofs." Where do I get this?
Thanks for all the help.
