I have a DVD Player that was bought from Hong Kong. How do I know if the DVD Player can play R2 DVDs? The player's code is DVP-K880D.

Well...how do I know if the disc is R2? Also, I am sort of planning to buy a R2 disc. I heard the limited edition of a certain movie is really awesome but then I've already seen the movie on computer (low quality). So do you think I should waste $130 for this R2 disc? It has DTS 5.1 sound, awesome video quality, a lovely boxset for the discs, postcards, a collectible trading card, and an extra disc of extras!

But again, it's $130! So do you think I should buy it?

  4. If you dont know whether or not your player can support R2 discs then I wouldn't be spending $130. Go onto eBay and buy like a used R2 disc for like $10.

Also, look in your instruction manual of the DVD player, it should say in there what regions it supports. As well check out the "DVD Players" list on the side panel of this site.
