I'm having trouble with some - probably about a third - of the files I encode with TMPGEnc. They play fine - good video and audio, in synch, etc. But...
Here's the issue: When playing back in WinDVD, I can't jump to a specific time, say 32 minutes. I can drag the slider to the approximate location, but it just jumps back to where it is playing. On my hardware DVD player, same effect: I enter a time to go to, and it just ignores me.
These features work in two thirds of the videos I encode - and not in the other third. Doesn't seem to matter if I'm playing from my hard drive, or from a VCD, SVCD, or DV-R.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks!

I had the exact same prob with WinDVD as well, and this may sound dumb.... But try closing any programs that are running in the backround, by using Ctrl+Alt+Del.
It normally works on my computer. -
Thanks - no luck.
I'm wondering if the problem is somewhere in the encoding since exactly the same disks that have a problem on WinDVD won't go to a specific scene on my hardware DVD player.
