Ulead DVD Movie Factory - Unable to burn

Apps = Ulead DVD Movie Factory 1 and 2
OS = WinXP sp1
Burner = Plextor PX-W2410A

Authoring menus in Ulead works fine, but when i'm burning the file the program crashes.
Everything seems to work fine until the finalizing of the CD, but then the program hangs and i actually have to reboot the machine from the power button. Same problem during test mode.
Latest patch from Ulead is installed.

I have had problems with DVD workshop burning. It does not recognize there is a blank DVD-R in the drive at all. What I do is use Workshop to create an ISO disc image, then use nero to burn this image. Could you use this method with movie factory.

I actually posted this in the wrong forum, It should have been the (S)VCD Authoring forum

Movie Factory only allows isos in their own stupid format *.ixa. Then i have to spend extra time converting it in WinIso or something similar.

I've also tried burning with the NTI engine with the same result.
