Since my PC has been upgraded to Windows 2000 Prof, Virtual dub does'nt work properly. It wont play the audio but says 'ACM failed to suggest audio decompression format'
Files which played before now don't. File information states Sample Rate 48000. Compression - Unknown (tag 0055).
They play back perfectly in Media PLayer or DivX player.

Are you using the MPEG2/AC3 version of Virtual Dub? It is designed to support AC3 formatted AVI and MPEG videos.

(Captain Proton get out of my thread!)
Hi Tommyknocker I've tried MPEG2/AC3 version of Virtual Dub and that is still the same.
I think I may have a missing DLL - namely MSDMO.DLL so I am going to re-install this and see what happens.
Thanks
