  1. I have converted a svcd to dvd-r using tmpgenc.....everything went fine but when i play it in my Pioneer 343 dvd player it only shows up in 2/3 of the screeen.....any clues to what might have went wrong.

    It sounds as if you did not set the aspect ratio correctly

    In TMPG under your Settings, then on the advanced tab there is a drop down box. If you wanted to scale the 480x480 res of the SVCD clip "up" to 720x480, you should set this to Full Frame (Keep Aspect Ratio)

  3. what about if you use ifoedit.....and dvd patcher....it does the same thing

    also sometimes in tmpgenc when i encode a svcd to dvd-r it gives me illegal mpg stream....any clues to what may be wrong in that.
