AFAIK..
The short answer.. no.

Unless you re-encode the VCD, and then apply color filters ie, using
TMPG.
You will also be loosing some quality by this process.

If you VCD was too dark, it was probably to minimize the bitrate and/or
hide as much of the artifacts as possible. In any case, you'll have to
re-encode to adjust the darkness/brightness.

..was because your topic did involve warez in nature ie, your issue
w/ re-encoding Daredevil. This is considred warez because its just coming
out in the movies, and NOT even on VHS/DVD bla, bla, bla.

Could this darkness be due to macrovision protection?

I use a SIMA SCC color corrector, remove most macrovision but not CGMS. It lets you adjust the brightness and contrast and you place it inline between playback device, DVD or VHS player and recorder.

True case, real terrorism acts by state actors. Most of the info is a mater of public record. In the U$A justu$ is 4 sale, ie; equal justice dollar for dollar. Most of the (illegal) legal procceedings are now on DVD. There are also many other cases in Michigan and elsewhere. DVD makes it possable to make copies without subsequent loss of quality, making chapters to locate specific portions etc. I used my E-30 to dub the court recorded VHS tapes and can make copies of DVDs with 6 hrs each in only one hour. We recently learned from a top (?) forensic expert that the original court recorded video of the April 15 side bar had been editited by the court, missing frame/s.

“Don’t see a problem”, Police beatings, evidence tampering, Bribed judges and juries responding “never” to oath, evidence destruction, police etc. having bombs planted on a kids truck, yes I agree, we are finding these illegal actions are ACCEPTED these days as normal daily in American media and society.
