I have been up and down left and right on this and many other forums looking up solutions to my recent struggle with the problem of CCE stopping encoding at random and sometimes at predictable points during SVCD creation with DVD2SVCD. At first I thought it was cause i updated to a new version of DVD2SVCD and somehow a new dll or something was causing the error. But to make this post short and sweet MY SOLUTION (note may not work for everyone) was to kill off as many background apps that I could think of (Ie DirectCD, NAV, stupid spyware, etc...) and so far I've been able to make about 10 SVCDs in a weeks time. Now the reason why I was going crazy with this is cause I was using 3 different systems to make my movies and I didn't get why each one had the same problem with CCE. As it turns out the common thread between all three systems was that they all had NAV2003 and DirectCD and other similar memory resident programs loaded and running. I haven't isolated this problem to any one particular program but all I can say is that I'm glad its working now.
