with my Pioneer BDC-202 drive and AnyDVD HD (Newest version, but also tried reverting to 6.5.1.8 and still fails) I cannot copy down several recent movies to drive... they are failing almost as soon as they start reading the m2ts for the main feature. I have read of others having success with these discs so I'm wondering if this is perhaps a hardware issue?

Batman Begins is failing at 8% Processed, as soon as it hits the main feature file (00000.m2ts I believe)
Narnia: Prince Caspian also fails as soon as it hits the main feature file.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

Can't suggest much other than enabling the AnyDVD logfile. There may be a clue there. If you click on the icon, you should see 'Create Logfile'. They just came out with a new update yesterday, 6.5.2.2 2009 01 30

    And welcome to our forums.

Thanks, a little more information that may or may not be relevant...

The failure is at exactly the same point every time, it eventually errors out saying that it cannot read from the drive. The disc itself is spotless, so it isn't damage to the movie.

I did notice in the log a couple interesting tidbits...
    "read physical failed, sense 5:24:0"
    "read copyright failed, sense 5:24:0"

    " 00000.m2ts | LBA 4224-11621642 | Size 23792474112 (11617419) | icb: 538 | crc: ok
    Range 1: 4224-11621642 (11617419)"

Next thing I am going to try is reverting my Blu-Ray drive's firmware back to the previous release version.

scratch that.... Pioneer's update utility apparently won't let you revert a version... so it the firmware update created the poblem I'm hosed.
