  1. I am trying to convert captured avi's into small MPEG1's for web broadcast. The host website requires the format to be MPEG1. How can I change the resolution size and frame rate to decrease the mpg file size? I have tried everything I can in TMPGE, VirtualDub, and Premiere 6.01. The VCD standards are producing too large of files (2 minutes of video is 18MB). Thank you.
My system: IBM Aptiva 2170-175, 550Mhz, AMD K-6 III+, 256 mb PC-100 RAM, 30 GB hard-drive, WinTV video card, Win98SE OS, Voodoo 3000 video card.

You could try lowering the bitrate of the VCD which will create a XVCD. :P
