  1. I downloaded a SVCD movie with bonus material from the DVD. When I use VCDGear to go from bin --> Mpeg it comes out with 7 tracks (on Disk 1) and 1 track (on Disk 2). Question is...I want to burn these on a CD utilizing the tracks and bonus material but don't know. I have Nero and some VCD apps...but don't know what to do.

ps...when I use VCDGear and make each track into an Mpeg....I can play the Mpegs fine but can't move it to a certain part of the clip...like picking a spot during the movie.

ANY help would be greatly appreciated....thanks guys

  3. How do I do that? I just use Nero to burn SVCD so I can play on my home DVD...but...it has to be in mpeg format already. How do I just burn the Bin using Nero? (Sorry to sound ignorant)

    Thanks for the reply

  4. The other problem I have is that the bin file is 750MB big and I only have 700md for the CD? Are there CD's with more room now or is this bin just too big?

So...when I just put the bin file into Nero....it won't let me. I have heard of overburn but I don't think that will work with 50 megs over...???

Use CDRwin instead of nero its much better for burning bins and easy to use , you just load in the cue sheet

a 800meg mpeg file will fit on a 700meg disk

  6. Thanks...that worked great for playing on my home DVD. I want to use VCDGear and extract the mpeg files for view on my computer but when I click it...it plays the movie but I can't click to a certain point in the movie. Minor detail now that I can play on the DVD....but....just curious if that can be fixed. Thanks for your help guys!

I guess that the mpeg wasn't authored with chapters and the scan.dat file added to the ext folder so you can skip back and forth on the disk and also forward and rewind

U could use the tools in vcdeasy to turn the vcd back into an mpeg file then use vcdeasy to re author to vcd adding chapters

But if the mpeg file wasn't encoded with closed GOP's then the chapters won't work

You would have to re encode selecting close gops in TMPGenc or CCE

I have heard speak of a tool that can post proccess and mpg that hasn't had the GOP's closed during encoding , But i cant remember what its called and have no idea where to get it

  8. not sure if this is what your talking about but..

tscv has a option to put entry points into your file if you select it under the option tab first box > check it
it say it may not work on all dvd players and it is best to rencode the file for best desired functionablity.
but its worth trying out has worked for me the past two time i used it
