I purchase the MSI TV@nywhere card and it is functioning fine. I'm using windvr which has really good mepg2 real time capture, only problem is it doesn't capture to AVI. Not sure why,, does anyone know.?
I understand that capturing to AVI is the preferred approach when editiing or authoring as the rendering process does not produce nice results with mpeg2.
I'm tryinng to capture in AVI with two products; Roxio VideoWave Movie Creator (which i purchased retail) and CapTV (shareware). Both will capture video but no audio. I know the capture card and speakers are fine cause i can capture no probs with windvr and tv@nywhere card. I know its not the cap card as i have no problems getting sound (with windvr) either diectly from audio out on capture card or audio-out to audio-in on audio card.
should i worry about avi or just cap to mpeg2 and use good mpeg2 editor.
what does everyone think
