To get ride of this problem you need to set the VFAPI plugin settings in TMPGEnc.
Open TMPGEnc select options in the tool bar at the top select Enviromental Settings, There should be 5 tabs select the VFAPI Plugin Tab you should have a list of plugins make sure Directshow Mulitimedia File Reader has a priority of about 4 just select it and right click the mouse selecting higher priority. I would also make sure that AVI2(OpenDML) is at priority 3 this should solve the problems also make sure you have the codecs installed for DivX try to avoid the Nimo pack, im sure many will curse me but they are a bit tricky when they want to be. You can find links on this site under tools to the left of you Make sure you haveDivx 3/4/5 and the XviD codec you may have problems with XviD this site has good solutions if so. Take alook at the DivX to SVCD guide to avoid making lots of coasters your your cups.
Hope it works!!!!
