  1. To put this simply, instead of using a program like DVD2ONE here is what I would like done. I want to retain everything thats on the original DVD-9
(menus, 5.1 or 6.1 audio, etc.) the ONLY difference here is that I would like to degrade video quality till it fit on 1 DVD-5.

Please respond with your info on how I would go about doing this.

NO DVD Ripping related questions here.

  6. Why are you people such smart asses? Its NOT a RIP question, its a simple legitimate question. Besides, there is no "HOW TO" for this.

you want to copy a dvd. you want all the dvd features intact. including the 5.1 audio. if this is not a rip question then i don't know what it is.

  8. All I want to know is how to re-encode the VOB's to a lower bitrate!

Now, if thats so hard to answer without getting a smart ass remark, there's no help for you people

For the easiest solution I would do a search for MakeItEasy, which is an add-on for DVD2One. This is probably the easiest solution to date. You can also wait for pinnacle's release of InstantCopy sometime around March.

The other members are correct in the fact that you should do preliminary research. You can't say "please respond here with all your info." without sounding like a lazy leech with nothing to offer to this valuable forum. That doesn't sit well with a lot of people around here.

It is just a matter of looking around. Most people on this forum like for people to find the info and when they have a problem or a great idea then post. But I had nothing to do so here is a place to goto and depends on the guide u want and software u want to use. But it is not easy and takes a lot of time, the movie will look like crap or atleast sub VCR if it is a new movie with lots of sound options. No software will come out ever that will keep all the sound and extras and then still have a movie worth seeing. I do ot know why u would want all the other stuff, the main movie and sound is really all u want if u are going to backup something.

There is a freeware program called Make-It-Easy that when used in conjunction with DVD2ONE will do what you want.

  13. ALL THE PROGRAMS in the world arent gonna help you get
all the extras and menu's and stuff, even if you lower the
bitrate, unless you want SUB-VHS quality, whats the point
of having a dvd then, even when you capture a vhs, its
still that, 352x240, like 2500kps video bit-rate, you want
less than that?just buy dvd2one and be happy, or buy
that other one dvdxcopy, but those have a hard time
playing on different machines, and there's no reason
EVER, to call people names, some get banned for that...
