    I would like to test my configuration.. I have tryed 5.1 with dvd -playback on my computer and it works.. now I would try 5.1 with .avi files (divx and such). Does anyone know where I can find any .avi with 5.1? (small files), not .vob

    There are divx files that have been encoded with AC3 in them just that you would have to find them.

    If you want to encode your own then get the AC3 version of VirtualDub since it works with extracted .ac3 files.
