Burning DVD+R's please help!

I have a DRU500A, and I've burned Sony and Fujifilm +RWs with no problems. When I tried to burn a Fuji +R in Ulead DVD Workshop, It got to about 86% then failed, giving a generic error "an internal problem with the burner software." I thought it might be the media, so I switched to Memorex +R's. Same problem. I tried buring them in DVD WS, DVD Movie Factory, DVDIT, and Instant CD+.... All failed near the end of the burn. I then tried using GEAR PRO to burn and it worked just fine. Is there anything I'm doing wrong? Should I switch to -R's for burning in DVD WS?

I've seen other people report problems printing to memorex +r disks on the sony burner as well. The dru500a has had problems with both +r/rw and -r/rw discs from various manufacturers, but a lot of the problems have been fixed in the 1.0f firmware. Have you already applied this?

Yes, I updated to 1.0g. I figured out the problem, well for DVD WS at least... I needed an upgrade for the program to support +R... but I still would like to know what's wrong with the other burning programs.
