Have you used the Honestech editor for SVCD ?

When you edit, it might encode it or regardless, its output is not standard compatible SVCD. They need to be run through TMPG, then they will burn in Nero. My DVD players always rejct them unless I run them through TMPG.

It also only works on CBR format and won't work with VBR, which is a standard.

I find there stuff mostly okay with VCD and never okay with SVCD.

    I would not recommend them

Honestech editor ? They are not very honest.

I have been sending e-mail after e-mail to the Honestech people about their crummy editor with no reply. SOmetimes I have to go to their home company to get any results.

Here is the bottom line, their product works ok for VCD.

It totally sucks for SVCD. It will not handle VBR SVCD files, stalls in mid-edit. It also makes non-complient SVCDs when you split then on Honestech's SVCD process.

Doesn't matter if the product is cheap or expensive, it does not do the job as promised.
