my question is about the tv out feature. i sometimes am able to get divx films to play on my tv and sometimes the video only plays on my comp. same with some mpeg videos too. my question is how can i get them to work all the time with all formats? i have no problem displaying the desktop and doing everything else on my tv just when it comes to playing the movies it doesnt always work. also i think its the tv but how can i make the picture sharper on my tv other that adjusting the settings on the tv casue its a little blurry i have my comp resolution set at 1024 768

i am using Svideo cable, that came with the card. my system is win2K, 1.7GHz p4, 512mb ram.

Set your primary display to TV. The PC desktop will still show. When you play a video file it will show up on the TV along with the desktop.

I never tried to use the Hydravision software by the way.

Read page 33 of the "Installation and Setup User's Guide"

oj thanks that kinda worked i set the tv as my primary display and my monitor as the secondary and the video plays fine on the tv but now the video doesnt show up on the monitor is there any way to make it play on both the tv and the monitor? if not no big deal i guess

No.

I don't mean to be simple but that is a unfortunate thing. I too had the same thing happen so don't fret. Just have to switch the primary to tv if you want to watch videos on it.
