It changes the permissions on the engines so that the OS will allow them to get more cpu time.

  3. Cool, will give it a try.

Last DVD I tried to go to VCD with, gave me:

    1-movie.mpg thru 5-movie.mpg Sizes, 795.1 MB, 7.1 MB, 795 MB 7.1 MB, and 13.9 MB...

    along with biles.mp2 (260 MB) and biles.mpv (1.29 GB)

Can burn the first 795 MB files to VCD and it works great. But cant put the other 7.1 or it is too big. Any suggestions.

Looks great. Just can't get it "all" on anything usable

We tech heads make our stuff so that Macs do it automagically, per Apples's specs...

Soo...if you have a 10.2 runnin' mac and say, stuffit expander, and maybe, safari...it kinda just takes care of itself.

  7. Quick question (I think i asked before but i lost the thread I asked it on sorry) but, the output file for a DVD > DVD is an .mpg correct? DVD studio pro doesn't seem to like .mpg format. It seems to want .m2v and a .ac3 stream for making a dvd (not sure about the .ac3 persay, i just know it won't accept a .mpg). In any case... is there a specific way you had in mind for authoring the file once it's done converting? Or does anyone have any insight for me on how to once again make this .mpg file into a dvd stream?

  9. First off, take some prozac man. Secondly, I asked because I just remember 42 deleting everything except the .mpg file. This INCLUDES the .mpv file and .ac3 etc etc. Yes I know I can rip the .ac3 using OSeX and put it in, that's not the issue. Unless what happened to me was just a freak accident that wasn't supposed to happen. I did a DVD > DVD and ended up with just a .mpg. DVD Studio Pro won't use a .mpg. If it gives me a .mpv this time, well then eveything's kewl isn't it...

  11. Well maybe I was mistaken then *shrugs* I suppose I'll see when this next DVD rip is done. But for some odd reason, I remember just being left with 2 files. The first I thought was a .mpg file. The second I'm not sure of, but oh well.
