  1. I've converted a 2 disc AVi file to MPEG-2 (film is 2hr 45mins), I've joined me MPEG-2 files to create one big file 2.1Gig, which I now want to cut into 3 parts, approx 700mb each.

However when I try to use TMPGEnc (using Mpeg tools), as soon as I select the time to cut to it freezes

Are there any other tools out there for cutting MPeg-2 ?

I've downloaded VirtualDub Mpeg 2, and I can load and split the file, but only save back as an Avi !!

Help I'm pulling me hair out

  3. That is exactly what I need to do as well. I was using flaskMpeg. I love the interface. Very fast and functional. Bundled with bbMpeg dll. However, I found a setting for direct copy of the audio, but it is always re-rendering the video. How can I set it to avoid re-rendering? Also, flaskMpeg allows me to select which segments I want from a large mpeg file, but saves them each in a seperate file. I have one big mpeg file I am removing commercials and other unwanted things. Is there a way to add all segments to one finished file?
