  1. I completed the process just as the DVD2SVCD tutorial says and after 8 hours I ended up with two CUE/BINS wich I burned with CDRWIN 3.8. I try to play them on my Pioneer DV-250 but I wasnīt able to do it. It displayed the message "unable to play cd" or something like that. I canīt even see folders or anything in my computer neither. Can anybody help me.

  2. couple of things, what speed to you burn the bin que's at? try to burn at the slowest burning setting and see how that goes. Not sure if your subject line "unable to play SVCD with DVD2SVCD and CDRwin 3.8" was a grammatical error because DVD2SVCD does not make SVCD's, it makes CVD's (352x480 NTSC with 48mhz audio), whereas SVCD's are 480x480 NTSC and 44.1mhz audio (I am assuming that you are in the US and not in a country that uses PAL). Does your DVD player play CVD. Check on the left under dvd player to see if it specifically plays CVD. Try to rip the bin/que back to mpg, resample the audio down to 44.1 and remux it and see if that works.

does the file play fine on your computer?

I went ahead and checked out your dvd player on the left. Are you using imitation CD's? for playing SVCD or CVD, it does not like that brand (VCD is ok though)

I looked at the comments and noted this:

Like the other people posting on this DVD player, I too had problems with the SVCD playback. Not a big deal though, go into Setup/Initial Settings and change the Aspect Ratio to "4:3 Pan&Scan" instead of the default "4:3 Letterboxed." Problem solved.

  3. Thank you macleod for taking the time to reply.

I already solved the problem. It was just that the cd must be burned with RAW MODE unchecked. I re-burned the cdīs with that option unchecked and now they play fine. However the subtitles canīt be enabled. Any ideas.
