Hi all,
Hope someone here can help. Here is my situation.
I do DVDs for the band that I am in which contain the backing tracks and a video synched up to the music as a backdrop.
I use DVDMaestro to author and have had great results so far but there is one nagging little problem.
When I author and create a separate movie for each music/video track, about 12 in total.
Now here is the problem, when I play back on our DVD player, I cannot see the timer counter for how long the track has been playing. Is there any setting in DVDMaestro that allows the display to show the times ?
Also I would love the display to show the track number like on a CD player, however, all i see is the Play Icon on the controls. Is this possible ? As when I want to forward and rewind between tracks I cannot tell which track we are playing, which can lead to mistakes
Many thanks in advance.

How about placing chapter marks on your music. Real simple with maestro click on the top bar (above the video and music) and a diamond appears for the chapter. You then can slide this diamond back and forth where ever you want (maybe at the end of your music). Although you don't have time marks you can skip to the beginning or end of your music.
When I create my own DVD's I just place diamonds every 15 minutes so that I can skip on my DVD player every 15 minutes. -
yes but the "PLAY" at the DVD-Player still remains instead of the timer, i believe you are using some program that does the same thing as TMPGEnc, i have the same trouble as you, thats why i turned to CCEncoder, just because of that PLAY thing instead the time
i really like TMPGEnc but the Maestro doesnt work with it
and im still having troubles with CCE!!!!!! -
Thanks all for the info...
Can I re-encode my existing M2V files with another encoder rather than have to encode all my Premiere files again ?
Ta.

I'm not sure if I am following you on the "time display". When I create a DVD with chapters it displays a continuous run time for that "Title"
If I were doing it I may experiment with multiple titles that play in sequence. This way your time stamps would be just that of the Title. You could even put chapters in each song for easier browsing. Think of each title set as a cd track. Your main menu would encapsulate all titles.
Your DVD would have multiple ifo's up to 99.
