I've ripped Resident Evil region4 using DVDdecryptor. It has 3 audio tracks (6ch AC3, 2ch AC3 and 5ch DTS). I've ripped the main movie, the english subtitles and all three audio tracks. My problem is when i play it on the hard drive i get no audio and i am unable to choose an audio track. When i use DVD2AVI to rip the audio track it completes the process but I don't end up with an audio file.

    Any ideas?

  2. How r u ripping in dvd decrypter?

I am in the uk(region 2) and have done res evil - no probs.

Just used dvd decrypter in ISO MODE which created an image and then burned that image back using dvd decrypter 1 fo 1.

Res Evil r4 is dual layer and therefore ISO mode will not work. I use IFO mode use stream processing and have only the video, all audio and the english subtitles selected.

  4. Didnt realise YOURS was a dual layered strange, must be that in different regions.

Anyway don't see why it will not work if u do as u say.

Use IFO mode then use ifoedit to strip CORRECT audio and vob id etc

    Good luck!

  5. I had the same problem with no sound when playing ripped files from the hard drive (Resident Evil), after seeing posts from people saying they had no problems I went ahead and burned a dvd from the files any ways and sure enough when I play the DVD the sound is there. I do not have a clue as to why this is, I was using powerDVD to play the hard drive files.
