    I'll take a speed test the next time I'm in uni (if I remember) on one of the new machines. If I do it about 1AM, I'll get 8.1MB/sec from ResNET. :P

    (my home line maxes out at about 230KB/sec...)

    Yes it does, the servers closest to me give better results. You're across the pond so your speed must be pretty good if you're getting 6000.

    Sadly THIS is my home connection.



    The upload is actually faster then that but it stalls out at the end for some reason on the test no matter how many times I ran it. The upload and download are actually almost the same.

    Its all good though since I'm only paying for 256/256. Sadly that little bit of speed is costing me $40 a month. Stupid small town.

    This is a good time speed wise... at a bad time... well its barely beats being on a modem at a bad time. But hey I don't get randomly disconnected.
