  1. I'm trying to burn Star Wars Episode IV A new Hope to dvd using Dvd Workshop. What I want to do is convert the divx file to mpeg2 using Cinema Craft Encoder. The divx encoding for the avi file is divx4 low-motion decompressor (I think)

Anyway, CCE gives me an error about half-way through encoding, something about decompressing error.

    Error CCE gave me:

cce encoding failed: ICDecompressEx() failed (-100)

How do you convert Divx to MPEG2? I've searched all over this site and can't find it.

Click on the word "Really" in my last post, I was trying to be funny, but at the same time it is a link to a guide you may find helpful.

  6. Thanks for the replies TommyKnocker, I did see that the word was a link, but I was looking for some help with CCE, sorry if my original post didn't make that clear.

To Zippy: This looks like exactly what I need. I'll look through it and try again. Thanks.

  7. This looks like a pretty good guide, but I'm trying to make a dvd compliant mpeg2 file to burn with Ulead Dvd Workshop, not a vcd.

I know how to use CCE for backing up dvd's, but there doesn't seem to be any kind of guide for making a dvd compliant mpeg2 file with sound.

If anybody has information or ideas, please post

    Thanks,
    Anthony
