Ok, that explains one of the problems I was having.

I started a 1CDR (which was really nDVD) transcode after midnight, and at 8:30am the .avi was 512MB, the 42 status window said 89 minutes encoded (of a 121 minute movie), and seemed to be stuck there. I looked at the .avi in the finder, and the modified date was 4:15am. Looks like it got stuck at that point.

I quit the process (but I still had to force quit mencoder), and played the partial .avi. What there was of it looked great, except for a thin greenish line across the top of the video.

As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
drawn outside the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind. Withering my intuition leaving all these opportunities behind.

Not good enough, Bile . . . not nearly good enough! I need the fix now, cuz I'm too stupid to understand the concept of this 'reversed' you speak of...all I understand is point-click, and get very frustrated when things don't turn out like they should. I am Mac user, hear me roar!

I like systems, their application excepted. (George Sand, translated from French), "J'aime beaucoup les systèmes, le cas d'application excepté."
