  1. Hi,

I am a bit new to divx/mpeg so excuse me if this is a stupid question.

I have a few movies that are in avi format and i have converted them to mpeg ready to copy to vcd,but once converted they are larger than a cd-disc.

is ther a way i can either split them converted mpeg file into 2 to go onto 2 vcd's or is there a way to convert the avi so it creates multiple files when converting the avi not larger than a cd.

any help on this would be greatly appreciated

    thanks in advance

You can use Vdub (mark start and end) using the keyframes then switch video/audio to direct stream, and save that part of the AVI, do the same for second part.

A file of 400Mb will probable be too large when converted, so you can split it up before using TMPGEnc.

"M2 Edit" is very good for cutting mpeg files, much better than TMPGEnc.
