  1. i have a DVD rip ...I think it is divx/avi...how long should it take to make a vcd...i have 800 mhz with 328 ram...and what program is the best to use & the fastest...I have TMPGEnc

  2. Tmpgenc is the easiest way to do it, but it will take long. There's a guide for it on the site. If you can play SVCDs and can get your hands on Cinema Craft Encoder I would use that for the video.
    First use Virtual Dub to strip the audio (roughly 15-20 mins) then use CCE for the video (roughly 3hrs). Make sure to uncheck the audio or you might get errors in CCE.
    After that I would load just the audio in Tmpgenc and encode it for SVCD (another 20mins).
    Then multiplex with BBmpg (another 20mins). This way might sound long, but I find it to be the fastest and best for me when the source video is good, like a DVD rip.
