  1. I have a fairly large bin/cue movie file around 800 megs. when i try to make a VCD using nero, it says if i want to re-encode or turn off standard compliance, and none of those work. So i used WINISO to extract it, to view the MPG file... it works, but the audio is 'out of sync' and the picture just blocky, in other words un-watchable. i tried to repair the .mpg file and that won't work. i used virtual dub to try and find out what frame rate or whatever, but when i try to open the file it says "cannot determine the file type. so i'm all stumped out, any suggestions/help?

Given the file is MPG I will take a stab that it is SVCD, not VCD (in which the file would be .DAT).

    You could try:
    1) burn as SVCD in Nero (try compliance on & off)
    2) VirtualDub-MPEG2 v1.4.13 mod

However, the file may have the audio sync prob and blocky picture contained in it already, so these may not solve your problems.
