In my constant search for The Perfect DVD Authoring Application That Doesn't Require Re-Mortgaging My House To Buy It(tm) , I recently downloaded the beta of Vegas 4.0 with DVD Architect 1.0 (which I'll call DVDA for short). DVDA looked like it had a lot of nifty features, and was very customizable, but since the beta was limited, I didn't play around with it very much.

Now that both programs have been officially released, I'd be interested in hearing from others about DVDA's capabilities. For me, easy creation of nested menus (like you'd see on "Hollywood-style" DVDs) is a must, as is as much customization as you can get (i.e. not restricted to preset, unchangable templates). No re-rendering of compliant MPEG-2 files would also be a big plus.

Basically, anything you can tell me about DVDA's capabilities would be much appreciated. I have the opportunity to get Vegas/DVDA for $499 if I order before March 15th (I guess it's because I'm a Sonic Foundry customer, or maybe it's because I downloaded the beta), but I'd like to be better informed about the product before shelling out such a sizable sum.

Thanks in advance!
