I'm trying to convert an avi file to mpeg1 in TMPGEnc Plus 2.5. It starts converting for about an hour than I get the following message:

"TMPGEnc.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close."

I also get the same message when I try to batch encode in TMPGEnc. I have changed the Environmental Settings but nothing works.

    Do anyone have any suggestions?

  2. scan the avi for bad frames with the latest version of virtual dub and be sure to download the mp3 version go to the official site for these. i am not saying it is 100% your fix/problem but it is worth a shot.

I have the mp3 version of virtual dub. Will it fix the errors if there are any?

    Thanks
