I used DVD decryptor to rip the main movie files only, so by default it neglects to rip 4 other 'needed' files. I am remuxing currently and at last check my files still played with software players. Do I NEED these other files? and if so, what should i do to get them? can i simply rip them from the movie and place them in the same dir as the remuxed files? thanks in advance

Of course you need them ! A standalone player will not know how to play the disc without them...
Chances are you will have to edit them slightly in IFOedit after a rip / re-encode anyway (eg Get VTS Vectors), but yeah, if you've got the original disc then just copy them across.
If you haven't got the original, use IFOedit's "create IFO" function. Select the first VOB file in the sequence and away you go. -
alright, remuxing just finished, going to rip them straight to the dir into which i just put the new remuxed .vob's. hope this works.
