  1. I'm having problems playing both CD+rs and CD-rs on my panasonic rv32. My dvd burner is a DVD+/-RW Micro Advantage 4x "Superdrive". Now I burn movies on it (i use decrypter, shrink, then record now) and the movies work great on my KLH, and XBOx. however when I put them on the panasonic rv32, they don't work. I tried both dvd-r and dvd+rs. The dvd+rs just kept "reading" the disc, and the dvd-r r's said "this disc cannot be read" My next door neighbor uses an HP burner, and his DVD+Rs work on my panasonic (which should only play dvd-r) and he does the EXACT same thing. He walked me through all the processes, we used the same media (memorex dvd-r and dvd+r) same version of dvd decryptor and dvd shrink (we both use record now). I also tried using Easy cd creator 6, which did the same thing as recordnow (as far as results). It should also be noted that I updated my firmware. Also my friend has 2 dvd players..a samsung combo (vcr/dvd) which my dvd's play on, and a mintek 1600 which they DO-NOT play on. The dvd's he makes have worked on every machine we've done. THis is very frusterating and if somebody could point me in the correct direction that would be great.

  2. Well I have a Panasonic RV-32 as well and it is pretty picky about stuff. So far, I have backed up about 40 - 50 DVD's with no problems at all. Various media types (Memorex, TDK, Maxell) of all kinds (-r, +r, -RW).

Oddly enough, this player has trouble with CD's. Even originals. Its not really a problem because I have a stand alone CD player with my Home Theatre that is way better anyway (Marantz).

So in answer to your question, I dont know why you are having problems with DVD's as mine play perfectly. But it does seem to hvae a problem with CD's.
